Medium: Copics, Color Pencil, Pen
Statement: Features a large, colorful guardian lion using primarily warm colored copics. Using toned paper, I created sections of the guardian lion where it was primarily inked and used blue copics to add traditional Chinese calligraphy in the background, reflecting my own culture. The guardian lion statue serves as a further representation of my own culture and also demonstrates how individuals' cultures serves as a form of protection and guardian against any troubles they encounter.
